How much do you think each one would cost, and how much space they might take up? They look like really awesome games! My computer has 2,038 MB of space which is 2 GB. Is that enough? A third of it is gone already so it's like about 1,359 MB which is 1.33 GB.

You have 2 GB of ram and over 300 GB harddrive space, I think you will have enough room because ram is not taken away when you have games installed only hardrive space is. How can Spore be improved?
My suggestions would be:
- Make it so you can do more in the creature stage instead of just walking, dancing and eating.
- Add more mouths and eyes parts etc..
- Make it so your creature does not have to have a mouth - it could photosynthesis or filter feed or something.
- Fast teleports to get around the galaxy quicker.
- Marine life so you can create aquatic creatures that live in the sea. Like creature stage just underwater with things like coral reefs and underwater caves and deep sea creatures. So for example you can add fins, flippers, tentacles and gills etc... That would be so good!!!!

Help with Spore (EA Games)?
So I recently decided to finally install Patch 1.5000 to get the game to stop prompting me every time I logged on to work on my creations. But ever since downloading it every time I try to add a part the game crashes. I can't find the solution on the official website and would really appreciate help since I just got the parts expansion pack and paid good money to get this thing.Help with Spore (EA Games)?
Very simple solution. Uninstall the patch. If you don't know how to do that, uninsall the parts expansion. It is not worth it to keep getting crashed on. If you are really wanting to keep the game I would recommend sending an email to EA Games about that.

Wal MArt sells a CD Scratch repair and there are places that have CD Polisher Machines. Remember this. If you Scratch the Back Side of the CD it is gone. If ya scratch the Shiney side it can probably be fixed. . .

use the inside of a banana skin.. just keep rubbing the disc for 20minutes... then use a soft cloth to wipe off the banana fiber.. the disc should be repaired to a great extent :P

My best friend really likes videogames. Especially ones by Maxis. She has all Maxis games (and expansions) since the first Sim City. lol. She's so weird sometimes. The game play isn't long enough. Stages can take from 10 minutes (cell stage) to about an hour(creature, tribal, and colony) with the exception of the space stage which is repetitive after a certain point.
If your friend is interested in the designing of the creatures, vehicles,building, etc... then your friend will love this game.

Spore cute and creepy installation?
I have installed the expansion onto my PC and have downloaded all patches for the game but nothing has changed about the game. There are no extra body parts, backgrounds etc. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how do you fix it? I have been on the EA website but I haven't found anything of use.

When I went to install it, the install shield wizard told me that it didn't install correctly and my computer has not been modified. EA tech support is second to non in the total ****-head department. Try fully reinstalling the game. Your save files are kept separate and wolnt be altered. But to directly answer the question, No they cant drastically change the min specs for a expansion, its just bad business

Help with downloading spore?
I want to download the new spore add on 'galactic adeventures' from the EA site. The only trouble is, The computer that I play spore on doesn't have internet, as it's in another room and we have a wired connection to one computer. This one. Is it possible to download the expansion pack onto a memory stick (It has about 10 gb) and then install it on the other computer? Or will it only work on the computer you just downloaded it from? Why doesn't Spore work on my computer?
So my laptop meets all the requirements, and I installed spore. but I can't find it! ok straight and simple my spore galactic adventures crashes at random times during game play nothing freezes even the music keeps playing normally but the screen minimizes and the usual window saying "an error has occured would you like to submit an error report" and then there is that little send dont send buttons on the bottem of the window and after i press one of them the game shuts down instantly so can anyone tell me why this is happening and how i can fix it

Opened Spore, it patched it, added the new game to it (was preordered), and then... Can't play it at all! I get this error message, then it has to close it down. What can I do that can fix it asap? Spore, Creepy and Cute and EA Download Manager... What do I do?!?
Hi everyone,
I bought Spore online and it came with the Creepy and Cute expansion pack free. I am currently trying to download them using EA Download Manager...
The creepy and cute download is right at the end but it wont complete! It just sits there saying 0MB left at 0:00KB/s. But its not complete, there is a tiny little bit to go at the end and I left the laptop online over night... its still exactly the same, it hasn't made any progress at all.
It just has the "Pause" button, 0MB left, 0:00KB/s and 371.5MB of 373.4MB.
What do I do, I cant afford to pay for the games again! If I uninstall and re-install EA Download Manager, will I lose my downloads?
Is there somewhere I can get the latest version of the download manager? I look everywhere and I can't find anything that helps!
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Try "pausing" then resuming the download. Chances are their server went down for a moment and interrupted your download.
If you uninstall/reinstall the DLM, you will lose any downloads currently in progress, but not those completed/installed. However anything you accidentally uninstall or delete won't have to be purchased again as long as you still have your discs/keys.
The DLM should be self-updating, normally it notifies you if an update is available.

EA's Spore: Is it worth it?
I'm a die-hard Sims fan, played almost since the beginning, but I've never really tried many other PC games. Until the next Sims 3 Expansion is out I'm thinking of getting Spore. So far any of EA's games that I've played have been awesome, so wondering about some things about Spore...
-Is it worth the money?
-What exactly is the point (I mean, I know you have to evolve little creatures and stuff, but if you can go more in-depth, please do)
-Do you have to have anything more than just the base game disk?
-I know there are different, like...variations, I guess, of Spore. Like the Galaxies and Cute ones? Do these work like Sims expansions, where they just add to the base game, or do they work more as individual games? If so, which would be best?
-Overall, just how fun is Spore? How long can you play without getting bored? It seems like it generally has a nice pace of game progression, but I haven't really done enough research on it to know.

How many times have you installed it? Spore came with a very stupid SecuROM device that only let you ever install the game 3 times on any computer. Ever. I know it was a huge debate and a lot of people were really pissed off about it, not sure if it ever got resolved but I am guessing that is what your problem is. Try Googling it if that seems to be the issue for you. Good luck!

After installing the Galactic Adventures expansion pack, I tried to open my Spore game. It said that error 1004 had occurred and that I may need to uninstall and reinstall Spore. Why did this happen? That game Spore... So many problems?
I downloaded spore and the cute and creepy parts expansion today and after installing (And downloading the internet patches which I regret!) I had major issues most of which have been sorted out now but one big one I can't fix is the fact that it wont save my games.
I'm thinking about completely uninstalling everything, then reinstalling it but trying this in the past with another game led to even more and worse problems. Should I uninstall and reinstall it? I originally bought the game and loved it. I did not buy the expansion. I'm NOT talking about character model updates and different creature updates etc.. I'm talking about this: When I got to the stage where you could travel different planets I became annoyed with the game because I could not travel that much due to my planets being under attack so often. My question is, did they ever fix that particular part in the game where you come under attack way too often? The game isn't even out worldwide yet, it's a little early to think about expansion packs.
Personally I doubt it. The game feels more like Sim Earth and Sim City than The Sims, and most of those games only had 1 expansion pack if they had any at all.
Expansion pack talk won't start until Maxis gets a good handle on what players want to see from the game.

How much would a computer cost that could run Spore (And all the expansions) and World of warcraft (with all the expansions) well?
I want to buy one, not build one as i dont have the time (or the skill haha)To build one at the minute.
Also, would Oblivion run on a computer that can run spore well?

it depends on your budget, but these types of games are not two demanding on a pc. Personally id go for a dell as there the best value, customise it so you can upgrade to the graphics card. I've had dell ispriron laptops before and their great for gaming and not two expensive.
The best way to buy a computer for you needs espcially with dell (im not a dell sales man, but ive owned, HP's, Toshiba and MaxData laptops and Dell have been the best) is to go for cheap model and then select an upgrade option on ram and graphics card. Also make sure you go for an offer that has free delivery as dell charge 拢50! which is a rip off

I bought spore creature creator at game stop thinking it was the core game, Spore. I went home and found out im wrong...I think. Did i buy and expansion pack or do i have the core spore game itself? Do i need to buy the Core game to play the one i just bought?Spore Creature Creator?
Spore Creature Creator is not the real thing or an expansion pack. It is like a little version of the real thing (or a demo). It only has the Creating the Creature part rather than having the ability to create numerous machines and creatures, having the amazing experience of going from stage to stage and owning spore. If i was you i would take the Spore Creature Creator back and get the real thing (not the Galactic Spore thing though. I have no idea what that is). It is totally worth buying Spore.
P.S. you could have downloaded the SCC online at spore.com.

Spore Space Stage Galactic Adventures question?
I recently bought Spore and the Galactic Adventures expansion, and as a newbie I decided to be a friendly critter with almost no built-in weapons.
This seemed to work out for me until I started getting the adventure missions in space stage where you beam down and play the game just like you did in creature stage.
Having no built in weapons really doesn't help since the majority of the missions involve you needing to destroy multiple enemies at a time.
So basically, my question is: Is it possible to get extra weapons for your character for these adventure missions?
I revisited that port to try to buy some weapons, except I can only do the tutorial over and over again.
Any help / advice would be great.

You can add ad-ons to your captain as you gain experience by doing more adventures. Everytime you complete and adventure, your captain gains experience, and once you reach a certain level, you can unlock a new part to add to your captain. This can be a weapon, a health boost, a speedy boost, and several other things. You can gain up to ten levels per captain, giving you 10 items out of many which you can unlock. To do missions, just open up Spore, go to the Galactic Adventures tab instead of playing the actual game, and play adventures from there. Try chosing adventures that don't involve combat, as that's what you need help in.
You can also download more adventures from the Spore website:

Just login, chose the adventures that appeal to you, and click the yellow "download" button found on the info page of each adventure.

Why does spore do this?
I don't know much about computers but like say when I install spore and then install an expansion pack a few weeks later everything goes fine but then boom! My laptop goes AWOL, like when I try. That's rough! Besides trying to find the activation code, I'm not sure what else you can do but contact EA. Since you have to activate the game using your email account, maybe they can send an activation code to your email. Other than that, I'm not sure what options you have.

I tried to install the latest patch. it downloaded and said "error: You need to put the spore patch in the spore". or something. I did this because i downloaded galactic adventures and it said it would install the patch then the game. it tried and came up with an error. so i tried intalling the patch before i redownloaded the expansion again. i think maxis should create a new expansion pack for spore. The new expansion would allow a new stage called the Medieval stage. The chieftain of your tribe becomes a king or queen (depending on the player) of a castle. You can create your castle, catapults, knights, king, queen, and etc. In this expansion you can also tame large herbivores so they can be used as horses. Instead of conquering tribes, you try to conquer three lands. Each land is controlled by your own race (because you killed all the other sentient species in the tribal stage). So i want all of you to read this and vote on it and copy this paragraph to a spore forum, hopefully maxis will get this.I can't get on a spore forum, so im goin to ask the question here.?

And for some reason, whenever I play I get about 10-20 minutes of play time in and it freezes. Its not my graphics card.

How do I stop applications from pre-loading?
I recently installed Spore and its expansion packs, among some other small applications. While I am very happy with them, the start-up and general performance of the computer has dropped noticeably since the installation.
I did some trawling and found out that several non-essential programs are being pre-loaded. I'm not sure how to stop them from doing this though. Anyone know how?

I spotted Spore for $4AU in a pawn brokers and an expansion is there as well for a little bit extra. Do you reckon it would be ok second hand? I know you have to activate it online, but would someone else having used it before interfere with my activating it? Is there a crack I could use should it now work which would be legal since I have paid for it?

Spore galactic adventures installation trouble?
whenever i try to install spore galactic adventures(expansion pack),i get an error saying that my hard disk is full...but my hard disk is not full and has enough space... i downloaded a spore update patch and even that refuses to get installed....any ideas on how to install spore galatic adv? can it be done manually ,like copying the folders in the cd to the folder?Spore galactic adventures installation trouble?
I think your C drive is full or almost full.. The installation need to extract the files first to a temporary folder in C: drive .. Make sure you have about 2.5 - 3 GB of free space in your C: drive .. Then try installing it..

I have like 759.1MB of memory on my computer. I have 14 sims games on my computer (6 being stuff packs and 8 being expansion packs). I was hoping to get Spore, but I was worried about how memory would effect my play. Could I get Spore and play comfortably?Can I have my Sims and Spore too?

Regarding installation limits, the first person is correct. There are no installation limits on any of the Sims 2 games.
As far as Securom is concerned, the patches do not "fix" the problems caused by Securom. EA started putting Securom on every one of their games sometime in April 2007. The last Sims 2 game that EA released that did not have Securom on it was the Celebrations stuff pack. Every game they released after that had it on it, including The Sims 2 Deluxe, The Sims 2 Double Deluxe, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life, H%26amp;M Fashion, Teen Style Stuff, Kitchen %26amp; Bath Stuff, Ikea Home Stuff and Mansions %26amp; Gardens.
If you would like to read about some of the problems that other people have experienced because of Securom getting installed on their computer than you should read some of the stories that are on this website:

I originally bought the game and loved it. I did not buy the expansion. I'm NOT talking about character model updates and different creature updates etc.. I'm talking about this: When I got to the stage where you could travel different planets I became annoyed with the game because I could not travel that much due to my planets being under attack so often. My question is, did they ever fix that particular part in the game where you come under attack way too often? I could no longer expand my empire due to this problem in the game.Did they ever do an update for the PC game Spore?

How to stop Spore crashing?
As you may know Spoe is a huge game taking alot of memory and whenever i use the Tribal, City or Space Outfitter it crashes.

Is anyone less than impressed with EA game Spore?
I was really excited when spore was announced. after all the trailers and even playing with the spore creature creator I couldn't wait to play spore. I got the game and I was disappointed. The evolution is less than impressive( its more like leveling up), creatures are all generally the same ( no sea creatures, sky creatures all of them are pretty much land creatures), most of the animal parts are useless even though they look cool and you can create two completely different creatures and they will play exactly the same, The RTS parts of the game are extremely simple and have no real depth. I do however like the graphics in the game they are nice, creatures are very customizable and I think that if their is ever a spore 2 or Spore expansion pack it will resolve these issues. Also I could care less about DRM since I only have one computer but I could see how it might be a problem for some people.

My Spore account suddenly deleted all of my creations and stuff! Just in time for the new expansion pack! Not only that, but it is re-downloading every single creation that has ever passed through my server! This all started happening about 5 minutes ago.

Well, I just bought the new Spore Expansion pack....After I installed it, I realized every sentence and words are shows as "****". I remember, I did something weird to "Regional and Language Option"....

Yes - its because it is an expansion to the original Spore. If it wasn't an expansion then you wouldn't of needed the original Spore.

My Original Spore is 1.5.1 and my expansion pack "Galactic Adventures" is 1.6, What do I have to do?
I uninstalled Spore and Galactic Adventures and reinstalled them. When I reinstalled Spore, I downloaded the 1.5 and 1.5.1, then installed Galactic Adventures. When I go to play Galactic Adventures, I get the static movement and all the problems that come with 1.6. I will say I've installed patch 1.6 before, but I completely wiped clean my computer of Spore and GA (Except for my saved games and creations).
I go into Spore and open creature creator and I have no robot parts option, but if I go into GA's creature creator, I see the robot parts.

The galactic edition isn't an expansion. It's actually the same game as regular Spore except for $30 more, you get a bunch of DVDs and posters with regards to the behind-the-scenes making of Spore. The creaters of the Spore and the Sims franchises were the same dudes, and I have never played the sims, and i love the spores....i have all the spore games and expansions. For the original Spore game. I was reading about epics on Sporewiki when I noticed canceled stages. The canceled stages were a molecular stage (before cell stage), an aquatic stage (after cell but before creature stage), and a city stage (after tribal stage but before civilization stage). It also said that there will be a possibility for an expansion pack of the stages (I'm in it for the city stage). Does anyone think there will be an expansion pack (clearly not soon do to the release of Darkspore at the moment)?

you dont need freakin 8GB of ram to run it all. You only need enough to actually run Spore. All the expansion is doing is adding more to the original game, not better graphics or anything. My laptop runs it all just fine, with only 1 gig of ram and windows XP, which kicks the hell out of Vista, BTW

I'm assuming he's using a torrent. If the torrent is cracked (validated through fake keycode) and he places the files in the correct locations, yes. Usually with JUST expansions, there's a text file in the torrent with instructions, or on the site you got the torrent from. (I use demonoid) Also, make sure you (or your friend) have a torrent downloader, like BitTorrent so you can use those torrent files.

The game isn't even out worldwide yet, it's a little early to think about expansion packs.
Personally I doubt it. The game feels more like Sim Earth and Sim City than The Sims, and most of those games only had 1 expansion pack if they had any at all.
Expansion pack talk won't start until Maxis gets a good handle on what players want to see from the game.Will there be expansion-packs for SPORE just like The Sims 2 has expansion-packs?
God I hope so.. the first game is so boring.. i beat it in 5 hours. The civilization is the best part.. and you can't even make a decent city. its tiny and you cant do anything with it. the rest of the game is just annoying.
Nothing has been said about expansion packs for it, but I'm sure its very likely that there will be, the game seems like its going to be a huge hit... i cant wait

No, the authorities don't care for pirated games anymore. The only person who would get in trouble are the company and the person who uploaded the pirate.

The Creep and Cute pack is just a parts pack. It adds extra parts to the creature creator and some extra paint schemes. It adds no game-play content.

I'm not 100% sure. But, from what I heard, it adds parts (hands, mouths, skins etc).
