Yes it does. They just released a "Creepy and Cute" parts packs. This has over 100 new creature building parts and animations themed in two distinct styles: cute/cartoon and scary/monster. Similar to the Sims 2 Stuff Pack series. They released it two days ago and it costs about $20. At the moment, Maxis hasn't released an expansion disc for Spore. However, there will be one released on November 18th. It'll be called "Spore Creepy %26amp; Cute Parts Pack" and won't actually expand the game so much as provide about 60 new body parts for your creations (much like the Sims 2 items expansion pack).
Also, an expansion pack which will add the dimension of outer space to the game has been confirmed. It will allow the player to beam onto planets, rather than using a hologram. It will also add an "Adventure Creator" which allows for the creation of missions to share with the Spore community. It will be released in spring of 2009.
