Spore Galactic Adventures error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error... Help!?

Opened Spore, it patched it, added the new game to it (was preordered), and then... Can't play it at all! I get this error message, then it has to close it down. What can I do that can fix it asap? I really want to play! And please, don't say reinstall the pc hardware or whatever, or reinstall the game... It has expansion packs that aren't in disc form, and I don't want to lose any saved data... Thanks!Spore Galactic Adventures error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error... Help!?
Damn, I have the same problem, and I e-mailed you, I guess We'll just have to call EA and tell them if they dont fix it......were gonna sue them!!!Joking, but really, WTF?Is wrong with EA and their games...

EDIT:

I FOUND THE FIX!!!!!!!!Ok, I was looking around in their stuff costumer support thingy, and all that stuff, and I found a fix( I havent tried it yet)

look see it for yourself here:

http://help.spore.com/cgi-bin/easpore.cf鈥?/a>

Yeah, its a long link, but anyway, heres what it says to do:

If you are getting a Run Time error after installing Patch 4 when you try to launch Spore, you will need to delete the following files from your Application Data folder:

ytlogin.prop

preferences.prop

login.prop

These files can be located by following the paths below:

For Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(Username)\Application Data\SPORE\Preferences\

For Windows Vista: \Users\(userid)\AppData\Roaming\SPORE\Pr鈥?

For Mac OS: Users\User Name\Library\Preferences\SPORE Preferences\p_drive\User\Application Data\Spore\

--------------------------------------鈥?br>

Note: The Application Data folder in Windows can oftentimes be a hidden folder. To enable your computer to display hidden folders, try these steps:

Click on the 'Tools' option from the upper menu.

Click on 'Folder Options' menu item.

Click on the 'View' tab.

Scroll down until you see the 'Show Hidden Files and Folders' entry, and place a check mark next to that option.

Click 'OK.'

--------------------------------------鈥?br>

If these steps do not resolve the runtime error, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Spore and all expansion packs before re-downloading the patch:

Uninstall Spore and any expansions

You can do this by going under Start %26gt; Control Panel %26gt; Add or Remove Programs and remove Spore, Spore Creepy %26amp; Cute Parts Pack, and Spore Galatic Adventures.

For Mac customers ensure you are logged in using an account which has Administrative privileges. Delete the SPORE folder %26amp; expansion folders from your Applications folder.

Reinstall Spore

Download and install all patches for Spore

Launch Spore and login to download all the patches for the game.

Install any expansions you have for Spore

This should resolve the error you are getting and allow you to play Spore again.Spore Galactic Adventures error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error... Help!?
This is Crap! Why can't they put out a game that we can play and not have to find patches! We re-installed everything and it still doesn't work! What a joke!Spore Galactic Adventures error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error... Help!?
